Came to your con in Nov 2005 (how time flies)but was really disappointed. It ran really late, was harassed by one of your helpers when my child rang upset that I was so late. should i bother even looking at your cons again?

I can’t speak on behalf of BOBW but I’m sorry you had a bad experience at the last event you attended. Aside from the event running late (which is unfortunate if you had other committments) did you enjoy the event?
I’m curious to know in what way you were harassed over a phone call… did the phone ring in the middle of a panel or something? If that was the case I can understand people getting upset by it because while we’re so used to mobile phones these days people still consider it rude if you interrupt someone on stage by your phone ringing, the same way they would if you were in a cinema watching a movie or something.
Again, I have no idea what the circumstances were but from my experience with conventions, they’re usually so much fun and definitely worth going to, I’m really looking forward to this one because I’m a big Stargate fan.

Hi Maree, the reason the event ran late was because the guests took lots of questions from the fans and as long as everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves we didn’t want to cut them short.
We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with our helper and in future, please do report any issues you have with our staff/volunteers because we take such issues very seriously and do not condone harassment or rudeness from anyone.
Adele is always at the reception table so if you do have any issues, please go and see her about it.
