I am sorry to say that our BOBW Nov. 2009 has to be cancelled.

The positive response to our e-mail resulted in only 3 extra bookings,
as this week we should be purchasing the airfares we feel that the
prospect of revenues sufficient to cover the cost of the event is minimal.

We are greatly distressed by this, but look forward to revisiting the
J.R. Tolkin world in 2010, with The Hobbit going in production it
should generate a fair bit of interest in the LOTR world.

The response so far has been minimal, so,  unless things improve dramatically, we will have to look towards 2010.

Hi everyone! Colin Cunningham here. Just wanted to scream out at the top of my lungs,

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE BLAST in SYDNEY!!!

It’s been too long everyone and I for one am really looking forward to seeing you all again. And of course breaking in a few of the ‘new people’ with my incredibly famous ‘Major Davis fire breathing unicycle trick’. Never heard of it? Well… neither have I. But just picture Major Davis riding a unicycle naked while breathing fire and dripping lighter fluid on his privates. That’s GOT to be worth at least a bronze pass.

I know that times are tough for everyone all over, but I really hope that we can all get together once again to celebrate our favorite shows and get a little crazy.

The numbers for July are far too low to allow us to continue with our event, as you may know BOBW relies completely on ticket sales to cover  the intrinsic costs, such as getting the event organized, then appearance fees, airfares, accommodation etc.

So now is the time for hard decisions, and for this we need a response from you:

1)   Do you wish the event to be re-scheduled for November 2009? If so a minimal non-refundable* deposit will be required.
2)   If you have an existing booking, do you wish to transfer to November 2009?

*Refunds will be given if the event does not go ahead but ONLY if the event does not go ahead (ie, you can’t get a refund if you just change your mind about attending).
